2024 SMPS Utah Cornerstone Award: Pro Bono
FFKR Architects
The 2024 Pro BONO Award-winner has provided the venue for, donated to, and promoted the yearly Empty Bowls fundraiser since 2018. The Catholic Community Services of Utah (CCS) hosts this event to benefit St. Vincent de Paul Dining Hall, addressing the one in nine people in Utah who go hungry. With FFKR Architects’ help, their event attendance has increased by 100%, and their revenue has increased from $5,000 to over $15,000 yearly, providing over 16,484 meals to those in need. Every year, the event gains more attendees and awareness, with a broader reach on social media and collaboration with events happening in the neighborhood.
