SMPS Utah Cornerstone Award: Pro Bono

VBFA’s commitment to BrockStrong Foundation spans more than a decade. More than ten years ago, Brock Butler, a VBFA employee and the son of VBFA’s Marketing Director, passed away in the hospital while waiting for a liver transplant that never came. BrockStrong Foundation’s mission is to increase awareness of the need for organ donation and its efforts to raise money to provide private music lessons for children in honor of Brock. The events VBFA has organized have evolved, and 2022 was an outstanding year. There were• 22 Shows• A 60% increase in donations over the year before• More than $14K granted to children for music lessons• Ten students served• Five instruments were donated to the BrockStrong instrument lending library and will be available for future BrockStrong grant recipients
