Title: Marketing & Pursuits Coordinator
Company: Psomas

How long have you worked at your company?
2.5 years

How would you describe your role/job?
As a Marketing & Pursuits Coordinator, I manage the development of proposals and qualifications packages, making sure they meet client requirements and deadlines. I collaborate with technical teams to gather project details, resumes, and relevant experience, crafting compelling narratives that highlight our differentiators. I maintain and update marketing collateral, including brochures, project sheets, and presentations. My role involves managing CRM systems and project databases to keep information accurate and current, as well as brand consistency across all materials. Additionally, I assist with pursuit strategies, and work under tight deadlines to deliver high-quality, persuasive materials that help secure new projects and strengthen our market presence.

What are the rewards of your job?

  • Playing a role in winning projects that help shape the community
  • Creativity
  • Personal and professional development
  • Sense of accomplishment

What are your challenges?
Working with difficult technical teams

What has been your most meaningful project?
With a previous firm, I worked on and submitted a medical facility proposal for the Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah. It is meaningful to me because I overcame working with a difficult technical team, a long list of subconsultants, and the purpose of the project itself. This medical facility was proposed to be built on the Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah reservation so the Tribe could benefit from the medical services offered. With the history of our Native Americans, I was very honored and humbled to work on such an important proposal/project for them.

How has SMPS membership helped you?
Because I am so new, I am still figuring this out. However, I would like to utilize the resources offered and look into becoming a CPSM to help me grow and move forward in my career.

What has contributed to your success?
The support of my husband Tony and my family.

What's on your bucket list?
I would like to visit all 50 states in the US. (14/50)
I am also working on visiting all 30 Major League Baseball stadiums. (8/30)

Guilty pleasure:
Sweet treats
