In 2018 Gold Sponsor Talisman Civil Consultants was selected to provide site civil engineering design for the Headquarters Campus Site Improvements Master Plan for the Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District, located in South Jordan. The district, providing water and water conservancy services to much of Salt Lake County, is one of the largest water districts in Utah.

This 55-acre master plan identified significant improvement opportunities. These included updating the current site’s drainage, replacing major culverts, relocating aggregate storage, improving parking lot pavement, and providing substantial upgrades to the site’s irrigation system. The plan also recommended modifications to their access road’s line of sight (to assist with safety concerns), gas line relocation, and landscaping improvements. Another recommendation was to incorporate walking trails to connect the campus to the existing Jordan River Trail system. Other goals for the project included improving the site’s functionality to meet the growing demands of the district while maintaining the aesthetic beauty of the gardens and overall campus.

After completing the Master Planning effort, the Talisman team moved into two phases of complete civil engineering design and construction administration services. The project’s final phase is slated for construction completion this summer. The complete campus upgrades serve as a high bar for the water district for many years to come.
