Melody Stong, Marketing & Business Development Coordinator at VO Brothers Mechanical, shares her views on SMPS and a vibrant list of her favorite things. We are delighted to have her as our Director of Membership.
Why SMPS?

This is a very organized and thoughtful group that has people top of mind helping to advance the industry, innovate, create, share and celebrate together.
- SMPS is a space for connection and education that aligns with the VO Brothers Mechanical brand promise of planning for perfection. We look to add value not only in our scope of work but through collaborative leadership in all aspects of a project to hopefully make it more enjoyable and smoother for everyone.
List of Favorites:
- Binge watching a series. Currently Ted Lasso!
- Mornings and coffee!
- My old dogs, Fiona (16 year old Pitbull) and Mojo (12 year old chocolate lab).
- Reading—most recently finished The Christmas Box by Richard Paul Evans because we chose this local charity to fundraise for at the VO Brothers Mechanical 24th Annual golf tournament this year. Tear jerker, just sayin’.
- Traveling with Kip, my better half of 10 years. Hard to pick a best trip, but I’d have to say New Zealand in 2017. We saw Yusuf (Cat Stevens) and Paul McCartney two different arenas, two different days, both the last stop of their tours. Amazing!
- I’m a total foodie! Eating, cooking, sharing. My favorite food is Korean and the best place to get it is my mama’s house, hands down. I’m a pretty good breakfast short order cook thanks to Kip’s two teenage boys, Wyley (16) and Hank (18). I don’t have kids of my own but can totally relate with the whole hollow leg theory when it comes to feeding kids!
