Sunrise Engineering Welcomes Greg Potter, PE, as New President and CEO
FILLMORE, UTAH—July 15, 2024—Sunrise Engineering and Utah Testing proudly announce the appointment of Greg Potter, PE, as the new President and CEO, effective July 1st, 2024. Greg succeeds Mark Huntsman, who has retired after a distinguished tenure with the company.
Greg Potter brings over three decades of engineering experience and leadership to his new role. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Arizona State University and has been an integral part of Sunrise Engineering since 1993. Greg's journey from an engineer-in-training to the helm of the company is a testament to his dedication, expertise, and visionary leadership.

Throughout his career, Greg has been involved in numerous impactful projects, including the renowned Payson, AZ–C.C. Cragin Water Resource project, a $55 million initiative that has won multiple awards for its complexity and success. His commitment to engineering excellence and community service is evident in every project he undertakes.
Greg is not only a seasoned professional but also a dedicated mentor and advocate for teamwork. He believes in the power of collaboration and is known for his democratic leadership style, which fosters respect, trust, and productivity among team members.
In his personal life, Greg is married to Vicki Potter, a Senior Marketing Coordinator with Sunrise Engineering. They have two daughters, Emily Tartaglia and Gabrielle, who are both pursuing their passions in unique fields. Greg’s hobbies include jeeping, river rafting, and international travel. He is also actively involved in various ministries and community services, underscoring his commitment to making a positive impact both professionally and personally.
As Greg steps into his new role, he brings a wealth of knowledge, a deep-seated passion for engineering, and a clear vision for the future of Sunrise Engineering. The entire team looks forward to the continued success and growth of the company under his leadership.
