How long have you worked at your company?

How would you describe your role/job?
My job is to build strong, long-term relationships with key clients in the A/E/C industry by identifying opportunities, attending industry events and positioning Terracon for future work. I support these pursuits (clients and projects) by coordinating with my technical teams and leveraging my professional network to drive strategic growth for Terracon in the state of Utah.
What are the rewards of your job?
The highlight of the job is creating and developing genuine relationships with our clients that turn into lasting friendships with the added bonus of working on my golf game!
What are your challenges?
Work life balance—like everyone else. I am a new mamma to a beautiful 7-month-old daughter and my first day in Client Development was my first day back from maternity leave. Balancing the beautiful art of being present for her, setting boundaries at work in order to make it home for bedtime, and meetings and luncheons!
What has been your most meaningful project?
I started my career in the geotechnical department, and the TransWest Transmission Line, an ambitious 730-mile t-line across four states, became the project that shaped me. It pushed me to grow in ways I’ll always be grateful for and ultimately guided me to where I am today.
What’s the best career advice you’ve received?
Your skills get you in the door, but relationships open your opportunities! Be known as someone people enjoy working with and trust.
What has contributed to your success?
A positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and saying yes to challenges (and coffee).
What's on your bucket list?
Hiking the Swiss Alps with the family!
