2026 SMPS Utah Cornerstone Awards
Congratulations to our 2026 winners of the SMPS Utah Cornerstone awards:

Brand Identity: Kimley-Horn
Kimley-Horn's award-winning Brand Identity project involved the rollout of a new graphic and marketing standard for all of their client firm’s print and digital collateral materials. This involved the firm’s holistic implementation of a new logo, color scheme, format, and layout through firm marketing collateral; project, resume, proposal, and presentation templates; business card/stationery systems, and website/digital interface.
Judges' Comments:
Great job detailing the rebranding's why, what, and how.
They considered multiple levels of consumers for this branding. It shows cohesion and simplicity, yet brilliance in the design.
Congratulations, Kimley-Horn!

Marketing Campaign: Jacobsen Construction
Jacobsen's award-winning Marketing Campaign involved Jacobsen’s annual breakfast, which they transformed into an authentic Base Camp Breakfast experience. Research into their partners’ values—and decades of breakfast planning—informed 2025’s Base Camp theme, which accentuated Jacobsen’s reputation for creativity and relationship building. The campaign included unique collateral, set-pieces, giveaways, and a planned experience while trade partners and clients networked.
Judges' Comments:
I love everything about this. Great theme and approach.
I appreciate the storytelling tone! The creative brief really helped paint a picture in a way that resonates.
You can tell this team went all out for this and was committed.
Congratulations, Jacobsen!

Event/Holiday: MGB+A Studio
MGB+A's award-winning Event/Holiday involved their annual calendar, a physical marketing piece that will sit on a client’s desk throughout the
year. They have sent clients this calendar every years since 2016, and it has stood out as a unique gift that celebrates the new year while helping them stay in front of the clients, displaying photos of MGB+A’s legacy projects alongside newer designs. With MGB+A's recent rebrand, their calendar now also sports a new look!
Judges' Comments:
This piece is clean and modern, in line with the firm’s branding.
I can't get over how brilliant and simple this idea is! I love the concept. You could not come up with a better way to stay in-front of clients and partners all year long.
Congratulations, MGB+A!

Social Media Campaign: Bonneville Builders
Bonneville's award-winning Social Media Campaign ran from January through December 2025, using in-house resources with no paid promotion. Through consistent, project-driven storytelling, Bonneville succeeded in their goal to build brand awareness, deepen engagement, and authentically showcase their projects, people, and partnerships.
Judges' Comments:
This is a well-articulated and focused social strategy rooted in authenticity and consistency. I appreciate the intentional shift away from trend-based content toward project-driven storytelling... The strategy feels disciplined, mature, and aligned with long-term brand building rather than short-term visibility. This is exactly the type of content that will help build stronger relationships with future project partners.
Congratulations, Bonneville!

Marketer of the Year: Cynthia ReMine, CPSM
Cynthia ReMine's award-winning marketing was nominated for how she advances marketing by building systems and the leaders who carry them forward. Cynthia led a firm-wide reset of her firm Reaveley's marketing program and systems, led Reaveley through a multi-year shift to a sector-based marketing strategy, and led the effort to rebuild and populate the firm’s existing CRM. These changes reduced marketing production time by approximately 50 percent, improved the quality and consistency of qualifications and proposals, and supported approximately 10 percent revenue growth while reaching a record backlog. As a result, marketing is now embedded in firm leadership and planning at Reaveley, including the establishment of the firm’s first marketing principal role.
Judges' Comments:
This individual is a combination of both a great leader and a positive impact on others’ careers, alongside strategic improvements to the firm. Clear data is provided to substantiate the story about their impact.
Tangible. Results.
This person truly led a structural transformation and challenged leadership to have marketing in long-term planning.
Congratulations, Cynthia!

Rising Star: Cailin Sianghio
Cailin Sianghio's award-winning marketing was nominated for mastery and independence. Hired by Reaveley in May 2025 as a part-time Marketing Assistant, Cailin quickly became an invaluable member of the team. Within 6 months of her original hire date, her accountability, judgment, and measurable impact warranted a promotion to Marketing Coordinator—not as a developmental step, but as recognition of the role she was already performing by improving systems, identifying data gaps, and taking ownership of work typically assigned to far more experienced staff.
Judges' Comments:
Extremely impressive results and amount of ground covered in a short amount of time! Love all the data, proof, and metrics!
This person has CLEARLY made an outstanding impact.
Their progression from execution to independent ownership in such a short time reflects both strong mentorship and exceptional personal drive. This nominee clearly represents the spirit of a Rising Star, high potential paired with measurable, sustained results.
Congratulations, Cailin!

Grand Prize: Reaveley Engineers
Reaveley's award-winning Website won the Grand Prize! The Reaveley marketing team rebuilt the firm website as a business development and inbound marketing platform, with updated the online brochure and people pages to support revenue goals. The new site answers three questions quickly: Have you done work like mine? Do your services align with my needs? Can I trust your technical judgment? By featuring more relevant project experience and service information in an intuitive, searchable, efficient format and other major adjustments, the site achieved a 329% ROI within 6 months, exceeding the break-even objective.
Judges' Comments:

Well done!Nailed it on every front. Detailed objectives, clear goals, a defined budget, and time frame. Described exactly how results were being collected and evaluated.
