Millcreek City Mayor, Jeff Silvestrini and Jeff Miller, County Planner for Tooele County join us to present the revitalization and redevelopment plans for two growing cities in our state. With an increasing population these two areas are showing a need for growth in both horizontal infrastructure and vertical construction.

Parking is free on the streets along West Temple, and lot located off of 700 South behind the Supersonic Carwash.

Speakers:

Mayor Jeff Silvestrini, Millcreek City
Jeff Silvestrini is serving his second term as the first mayor of Millcreek. Jeff is working to form a new, transparent and technologically advanced city and appreciates creativity and initiative in local government. Jeff has involved himself lobbying the Utah Legislature on local government issues affecting Millcreek and has volunteered to serve the city on various boards whose operations affect our residents. Jeff graduated from the University of Utah College of Law and before that the University of Michigan. He and his wife, Leslie, have two grown daughters. Jeff practiced law in Salt Lake City for 37 years and served as a volunteer on the Mount Olympus and Township councils before becoming mayor.

Jeff Miller, County Planner and Zoning Administrator for Tooele County
Jeff Miller is a cum laude graduate from the University Of Utah with a Bachelor of Science in Urban Planning. After graduation, and a completed internship with Salt Lake City’s planning office, he worked from August 2015 to September 2017 as a Planner II with Salt Lake County, where he was able to put his educational background into use and gain valuable knowledge and experience. He has worked as the County Planner for Tooele County since October 2017. He is passionate about creating sustainable communities with an emphasis on smart growth. After a couple years of challenging growth in Tooele County, he is looking forward to working with the citizens of Tooele County in implementing a future of sustainable growth within Tooele County, as part of a comprehensive update to the Tooele County General Plan that was adopted earlier this year. He is married to Linsey Miller, who works in Public Health as a Program Manager for the Salt Lake County Health Department. Together they share a passion for focusing on healthy communities. They are the proud parents of three children, Coleby (age 8), Trevor (age 5), and Hailey (age 3).
