Chris Roybal, President & CEO, Northern Utah Economic Alliance
Chris has over 25 years of experience in executive management, consulting, and economic development. Currently, he is the executive director of the Northern Utah Economic Alliance. Chris held senior management positions (COO & President of Sales) in the freight management business with Northwest Research Corporation for over 10 years, a logistics vendor and service provider to a Fortune 100 company. Northwest employs over 400 in Salt Lake City, Memphis, and Toronto. Prior to entering the transportation business, Chris spent over 13 years in the economic development business with experience as CEO of Utah's EDCU, the state's leading economic development organization, and as Governor Huntsman's Senior Economic Advisor. Working with hundreds of corporations with expansion plans to Utah, Chris provided advice regarding labor analysis, tax incentives, real estate, and construction options, among others. Chris also spent over four years as a business analyst for venture capital investments and as a consultant for business expansions. Market research, business plan evaluations, and other investment due diligence were among his areas of concentration.
